We warmly welcome you and yours to the beginning of a new journey, a fresh start and a fertile ground to groom and nurture the young lives you’ve confidently handed to us.
It’s the official Term 2 for the 2023/2024 Academic session which is named ‘Spring Term’ in our prestigious learning community. Here are some amazing facts about Spring; the days get longer and nights get shorter, the temperature is milder, and FLOWERS BLOOM(our little friends are expected to bloom in all the prime areas of the EYFS and beyond). There is a warm wind in the spring season in the air and we get to spend lots of fun time outside (this means we would have loads of outdoor activities to make learning fun and secure).

  1. Learners Resumption: The learners resumed today being the 8th of January 2024. It was all fun and heartwarming as expected after the Autumn holidays. Learners were happy to see their peers and teachers with fun and exciting stories to share. The term began with ‘Welcome Back to School’ activities to help the learners settle in comfortably. School Gate Opens: 7:00a.m. School Gate Closes: 8:15 a.m. Closing time (Early Years) : 1:45p.m and (Primary) : 2:00p.m (except Fridays 12 noon and Islamiyya)
  2. School Fees: As mentioned in the End of term newsletter, learners with outstanding fees will not be granted access to check their Examination reports on the school portal. School fees for this term is due on the first week of resumption. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
  3. School Uniform: Learners are expected to dress in the complete and appropriate uniforms for each day with black polishable shoes and black tie for boys (except on sports day which is either white or black sneakers and sportswear). Due to the weather, “Grey cap only is allowed for the boys”.
  4. Behaviour Policy Implementation: NOBS, is intentional about grooming a total child which includes moral, physical and psychological developments. Learners have been informed on the need to show kindness at all times and say ‘no’ to bullying. Hence, we have designed a plan to properly and professionally manage the behaviour exhibited by our learners. We require your understanding and support on this issue, it is important to note that it does not involve any form of corporal punishment.
  5. Mid-Term Break: There would be no break this term, to enable us wrap up the curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities in due time during the Ramadan fasting.
  6. Extracurricular Activities: In the Early Years, we would have the following clubs; Phonics and Reading, Logical Thinking and Ballet/Gymnastics. Kindly select your preferred choice. Note that some require an additional payment, reason being that we require the services of professionals in that field. A Google form will be shared shortly with the details.

  1. Kindness and Friendship Week (Monday 12th – Friday 16th February 2024): It would be a week-long of exciting activities ranging from House points spelling bee competitions; Friendship and gift exchange day and then we will wrap up the week with the commencement of our Continuous Assessment.
  2. International Mother Language Day: This is an international event which is slated to take place on Wednesday, 21 February 2024. The learners are expected to come in dressed in their respective native attires; some parents will be called in to teach us basic sentences in their dialects also dressed in their native attires. We are hopeful for a positive response.
  3. Parents Teachers Consultation: This is scheduled to take place on Friday, 23rd February 2024, our doors will be opened for parents to check the notes of their wards and have discussions with their teachers.
  4. Interhouse Sports Day: This is our highlight for the term; it would be our ‘Maiden Interhouse Sports Day’. A lot has gone into its preparation to ensure a smooth, organized, safe and fun day all the way. We appreciate your support via the payment of the sum for this event which was added to the school fees schedule.
  5. End of Term Party: The term is scheduled to close on Friday, 22nd March 2024, ahead of the Easter and Ramadan celebration. The learners will wrap up the term with a ‘Pyjamas Themed Party’; the learners will come into school dressed in their pyjamas and flip flops. It promises to be loads of fun. It promises to be a whale of time and we humbly request your partnership, feedback and support as always. Let’s hold hands and watch these treasures soar to greater heights by God’s grace. Kindly reach out to the administrative team should you require assistance or further inquiry regarding any of our products and services.
